Transactions

The Transactions module gives you a complete view of all money moving in and out of your business. It acts as a central ledger to track payments, receipts, and transfers, keeping your records accurate, audit-ready, and reflective of your real-time financial health.

Key functions

  1. Track financial movement — monitor all payments, receipts, and transfers in one place.
  2. Filter and organize — categorize and find specific entries instantly.
  3. Create and update — manually add new transaction records or modify existing ones.
  4. Bulk actions — operate on multiple records at once.
  5. Data export — download filtered data sets for reporting and offline analysis.

Creating a transaction

  1. Click Add Transaction in the top actions bar to open the side drawer form.
  2. Fill in required details: Transaction type, Date, From / To, Payment method, and Amount.
  3. Optionally add a Reference or Notes for better record-keeping.
  4. Click Save.

Form validation: missing or invalid required fields are highlighted in red with an error message — fix these before saving.

Editing a transaction

  1. Click a transaction in the table to view its details, or select Edit from the three-dot actions menu.
  2. Update the necessary fields and click Save.
note

Only editable transactions (such as those in Pending status) can be changed; Completed transactions are usually locked to protect data integrity.

Filters, search, and views

  • Search bar — search quickly by name, reference, or amount.
  • Advanced filters — click Filters to open options for Date, Payee, Type, and Account directly from the table head.
  • Apply / Reset — select filter options and click Apply to update the list instantly; Clear All returns you to the full list.

FAQs

Why am I seeing red error messages in the form? Required fields are missing or invalid — check the highlighted fields, enter valid values, and save again.

Why don't I see bulk actions? Bulk actions appear only when you've selected transactions with the checkboxes and have the appropriate permissions.

Why is my filter not working? Make sure you clicked Apply, filters aren't conflicting, and the date range is correct.
